Greenhouse sauna – a different kind of sauna experience
Greenhouse Sauna – A Different Kind of Sauna Experience
Looking for something different and memorable?
While our traditional Smoke Sauna offers a deep and authentic journey into centuries-old Estonian sauna traditions, the Greenhouse Sauna is its complete opposite. Bright, light-filled and surrounded by nature, it offers a unique sauna experience at the edge of the forest.
Unlike a Smoke Sauna, which takes a full day to heat, the Greenhouse Sauna is ready in about an hour, making it perfect for spontaneous sauna sessions.
Inspired by Estonia’s practical DIY spirit and sauna culture, greenhouse saunas have become a creative way to enjoy sauna bathing closer to nature. Similar saunas can be found in gardens, summer homes and countryside retreats across Estonia.
The gentle, humid heat creates a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere that many guests find pleasantly different from traditional Finnish saunas and electric saunas.
The milky translucent greenhouse cover allows natural daylight to pass through while maintaining privacy. From the outside, it is not possible to see inside, while the soft natural light creates a unique feeling of being close to nature.
In the Greenhouse Sauna, you can wash yourself in the traditional way using warm water, a bowl and a ladle. Simple, peaceful and close to nature.
For the ultimate sauna experience, combine the Greenhouse Sauna with our traditional Smoke Sauna. At Jantsu Farm, you can enjoy two different Estonian sauna experiences in one visit: the bright and gentle warmth of the Greenhouse Sauna and the deep, timeless atmosphere of the Smoke Sauna.
